Table Fee

  • All table fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. Your
    booking is ONLY confirmed once full payment has been received. Payment plans
    or partial payments are not available.
  • The table fee includes:
    • 1x standard table
    • Venue licensing
    • Support The Maker team present at the venue on the day of the market
    • Market processing fees
    • Marketing:
      • 1x Mention on social media as part of market promotion (general post with makers tagged, provided requested photos and information are submitted)
      • 1x Mention on the website of makers attending the market

Social Media

  • All makers are required to share the event using the provided image from the social media templates available on the Makers Portal in the Image Library for Social Media section on our website.
  • Makers are expected to advertise their attendance before, during, and after the
    market.
  • When mentioning the name of the market, please ensure you use the Market
    Name provided in your email confirmation.

Cancellation Policy

  • If the market is cancelled due to inclement weather, venue cancellation, or other
    unforeseen circumstances, all makers will be contacted and offered a refund or
    transfer to another market.
  • If a maker can no longer attend, they must inform Support The Makers as soon as
    possible. Support The Makers will endeavour to fill the space from the waitlist.
    • If the market is more than 7 days away:
      • If the space cannot be filled, no refund will be issued.
      • If the space can be filled, a 75% refund will be issued.
    • If the market is less than 7 days away: No refunds will be provided.

Dismissal

  • Support The Makers reserves the right to dismiss any makers who deviate from
  • our Terms & Conditions.

Trading Times

Setting Up

  • Market-specific info is available at Traders FAQ page.
  • Makers are not permitted inside until event organisers have confirmed the floor
    plan.
  • The floor plan will be designed for cohesive flow and will not be altered on the
    day.
  • Makers must be present and have all their stock inside 30 minutes before the
    market starts. Otherwise, their space will be forfeited.
  • Unload quickly to avoid congestion and move your car to nearby parking areas.
  • Be aware of local parking rules, especially when loading and unloading. Support
    The Makers is not responsible for any parking tickets or travel expenses.

    Parking
  • Support The Makers will allocate each table, and makers’ names will be noted on
    each table. Floor plans are not shared in advance.
  • Makers must not park on pavements at any time, even for loading or unloading.
    Violators will not be allowed to trade. Please familiarise yourself with local
    parking restrictions before the market.

Packing Up

  • Makers must not pack up before the end of trading times.
  • If you need to leave for an emergency, discuss this with the event organiser.
  • Makers who leave early will forfeit attendance at all future events, and no refunds
    will be issued.
  • Makers must finish packing up and leave the venue within the timeframes given
    for each individual market, as listed on individual market pages.

Display & Tables

  • Included within your market fee is a standard table (180cm x 90cm) and one
    chair (subject to venue approval).
  • Additional space for rails, print browsers, etc., is not guaranteed. Where
    additional space is required, this must be agreed upon with Support The Makers
    before the market.
  • Wifi is not guaranteed at our venues. Makers must be able to trade without it.
  • Lights and plug points are not provided by default. If specific lighting is required,
    makers are encouraged to bring their own battery-operated solutions.
  • Ensure that your table looks attractive with tablecloths, banners, etc.
  • Keep walkways within your table area clear.
  • Do not bring additional tables or use surplus tables unless agreed with Support
    The Makers.
  • Do not stick anything to the venue walls. You may be asked to remove
    attachments or equipment that could cause damage. Any damage caused will
    be billed to the maker.

Staffing on Stalls

  • Stalls must be staffed for the full duration of the market, with a maximum of 2
    people per stall allowed.
  • Makers should trade throughout market opening times.
  • If you sell out early, please display a SOLD OUT sign for customers.
  • Makers should dress appropriately for the location and season, as autumn and
    winter markets may be cold.

Products & Labelling

  • Only products that have been approved on your application may be sold at your stall.
  • Organic producers must display a certificate from the recognised body. 
  • Alcohol and food producers must display any required certificates. 
  • Requests for additional products to be sold must be submitted via email.

Rubbish

  • Makers must bag and take away all rubbish at the end of the market, ensuring the
    area is left clean. Repeat offenders may incur a clean-up charge.

Alcohol & Smoking

  • Makers selling alcohol must arrange their own licence from the local authority
    and display the correct signage regarding age limits.
  • Support The Makers has a strict no-smoking and no-drinking policy at markets.

Security

  • We recommend using a money belt or keeping money in zipped pockets for safety.

Legislation

  • Makers much comply with all the relevant legislation for the goods offered for sale. Contact your local trading standards for advice if needed. 

Insurance

  • All makers must have public liability insurance with a minimum cover of £1
    million.

Adherence

  • It is the responsibility of makers to adhere to the Terms & Conditions at all times.
  • Support The Makers reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any
    time.
