Hello…..

So finally the Support The Makers website is here.

It’s been a couple of months in the making but am absolutely delighted & incredibly proud of of our new website. I would like to say a huge big THANK YOU to Jamie Sutherland & Tricia Sutherland so much for their help & support to get this dream a reality.

It’s been a really very busy few months & we are thrilled to be back to hosting live markets again & have had such a wonderful positive response to our last market in July at Old Dr Bells. I think we have totally lucked out with this venue which has been so accommodating & possibly has the best looking toilets in Leith, this was a huge talking point at the last market.

There have been some changes to how we manage features, online markets & makers opportunities but again we feel that this was very much needed for us to continue to Support Makers with what we feel are the best highlights.

There are some very exciting things happening behind the scenes & we are super excited to start collaborating with small makers to bring a range of Support The Makers branded merchandise.

Our first collaboration has been with Sara – Castaway Scotland. Sara makes the most wonderful smelling handmade soaps & I discovered Castaway Soaps when looking for a soap from a small maker for our puppy Arlo.

I’m slightly obsessed with the dog wash soap it smells heavenly & has eucalyptus oil in it which is a natural deterrent for beasties! So it’s a winner!

Sara has made up small bars of her top selling soaps, Honey & Oat and Wake Up – Lime & Ginger & my personal favourite Dog Wash & packaged them in awesome Support The Maker packaging.

These are now available to purchase at our live Markets & via DM.

Next month we will launch the Makers of The Month where a maker will have the opportunity to take over our blog post!

Here’s to the last few weeks of Summer, I’ve really loved the longer days. I have recently started sea swimming & have loved the sunset swims & chilled nights in the park with my new found dog parent community!

Take care

Carmen
