Studio Cut Paste
Studio Cut Paste is contemporary textile homeware goods handmade in Edinburgh. The aim is to take a modern approach to patchwork and embroidery using recycled fabrics as much as possible. Being aware of the waste produced in the process of making products, I wanted to utilise these waste fabrics and allow them to dictate my designs through what fabrics are available. Patchwork brings to life small pieces of waste fabric from old clothes or deadstock items that are then sewn together to create larger blocks that I create products from. At Studio Cut Paste, there is a large filled cushion selection of wonky shapes called the Rework Collection, embroidered cushion covers and small lavender filled pouches. I am inspired by brutalist architecture and abstract art as I enjoy combining simple shapes and textures together.
