Heather Elder Jewellery
My name is Heather and I’m a jeweller based in Uphall , West Lothian.
I studied Jewellery & Silversmithing at Edinburgh College of Art and after graduating in 2003 I set up my own workshop.
I spent a lot of time drawing in the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh while studying for my degree, taking inspiration from flowers, nature and floral patterns and this has continued in my work through the years.
The jewellery I make has always been very delicate and I often incorporate texture into my pieces through vintage lace which gives unique patterns to my designs.
I also love colour and so enamel features heavily in my pieces and more recently I have been experimenting with little enamel house structures and pictures and I’m excited to see where I can go with these.
