A View To Paint
From my earliest memories I’ve always loved landscapes and was brought up under the dark brooding peak of Kinder Scout and the stunning Peak District.
I studied Fine Art at Coventry School of Art & Design graduating in 1995. Moving to Scotland in 2004 I have continued to paint but it was few and far between my art took a back burner whilst caring for my three children all with ASD.
Recently however I have decided to take my art a little more seriously. I am constantly drawn to painting rocks, sky & water and my paintings always seem to reflect these in either seascapes or waterfalls. I find the light, ever changing moody and dramatic skies along with sparkling and tumbling water awe inspiring so try to reflect the atmosphere and emotion of the places I paint.
My main inspiration is the beautiful Scottish landscape in which I live. I especially love Scotland’s hidden gems such as the Stunning Outer Hebrides & Skye to the gorgeous Solway coast.
I also enjoy painting cheeky and playful highland cows & paint these in a variety of ways from small canvases, gift boxes and hand painted cards
I also enjoy painting and decorating small Christmas decorations and gift boxes around the festive season
